On 1 January 2015, the conditions for the application of a contribution discount will be tightened both for younger and older employees. We will explain what this means.

Contribution discount for younger employees.

To apply the discount for younger employees you need to have:

  • A declaration from the Employee Insurance Agency or the municipality proving that your employee was entitled to a benefit immediately prior to entering into your employment;
  • A written employment contract or an appointment under public law for at least 32 hours a week and with a duration of at least 6 months.

You must file these two documents with your payroll accounting.

Contribution discount for the employment of older employees.

In order to apply the contribution discount for older employees your employee must have been entitled to a benefit before entering into your employment.

As of 1 January 2015, you will have to have a declaration from a benefits agency (for example from the Employee Insurance Agency or from the municipality) to prove this. You must file this declaration with your payroll accounting.

The age limit for the contribution discount for the employment of older employees will be raised to 56 years in 2015. For current employees you may continue to apply the contribution discount.
