Umbrella Company in the Netherlands Makes Dutch Contracting Easy
Dutch labour and social security legislation is notoriously complicated and without proper procedural guidance, overseas companies and contractors can find themselves facing unforeseen and above all costly consequences. The easiest way to ensure that this doesn’t happen to you is Payroll Works’ Umbrella Services: simply put yourself, or your employees on our payroll and you can get on with whatever it is your organisation does best.
By working through an umbrella company, you can dispense with expensive lawyers, accountants and ‘advisors’. Sure, they offer advice, but they don’t actually do anything for you. Payroll Works’ dedicated team of specialists have extensive knowledge and experience of the tax and social security systems in the Netherlands and can have your employees working here legally within a matter of weeks. They know all the ins and outs of residence and work permits, health and safety regulations, compulsory national insurance and pension schemes, the coveted 30% ruling for knowledge immigrants, sick leave, holiday pay, you name it – and they’ll put their knowledge to work for your organisation. You need only ask.

Ask our Expat Desk: Late application for the 30% ruling
Can I still apply for the ruling?
I have been working in The Netherlands since 2010. When I started working I wasn’t aware of the ruling and didn’t request assistance from my employer to apply for it. I can see now though that I would have met the application criteria. Can I still apply for the ruling?
Payroll Works Expat Desk replies
If you met the application criteria at the time you moved to The Netherlands in 2010, then you can still apply. Our Expat Desk can assist you and your employer with this application.
The ruling is granted for a maximum of 8 years and if you are granted the ruling, this period will be reduced by the time you have already spent in The Netherlands.
